PM Modi will launch India Post Payment Bank on September 1, 2018

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) on September 1, 2018.  Earlier it was to be started on August 21, but this program was postponed due to the 7-day national mourning by the Center on the passing away of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

In the Post Payment Bank, you will be able to open three types of savings accounts – Regular Savings Account, Digital Savings Account and Basic Savings Account. These three accounts can be opened on zero balance. Airtel and Betim in the private sector are already servicing the payment bank.

This post payment bank will also provide banking facilities at home, such as opening an account. For this, approximately 11,000 postman will be appointed to provide services in the villages and cities. By the end of this year, the Postal Department had 1.55 lakh post offices. P. P. Through the post offices in every district, towns and villages of the country, the common people will get the benefits of banking services. 24 hour customer support will also be available.

All transactions will be verified through bio-metric, meaning that even if the card is lost, you will not be able to make any money.
