To promote tourism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of becoming a steam express is ready. The colorful train in the tricolor will also give a message of environment along with patriotism. This train has been prepared by the Jagadhari Workshop 300 employees in 16 days. This train running the steam engine is completely eco-friendly. PM will flag off this train in New Delhi on August 15 This train will run every day between Farrukhnagar and Harsur station (11.25 km).
Steam Express will have eight coaches. There are 90 seats in each coach. These coaches have been prepared with vinyl rabing technique. A paste of saffron and green colored vanilla sheets outside the coat has been painted white in the middle. Special finishing is given to the inside look of the train. There will also be facility of mobile charging for passengers.
Akhil Ahmed, the works manager of Jagadhri Workshop, told that when people travel in this train, it will not be less of a thrill for them. The current generation will be able to feel how it was traveling decades ago by the steam engine.
Over 200 LED lights have been installed in the train. Also, less power fans have been installed. A double set of dry battery has been installed in each coach for power supply. The feature of the dry battery is that its fuses do not come out and repairs are also low. Its maximum speed will be 60 km per hour. Short distance and slow charging system does not work properly That’s why many changes have also been made in the power car.
Rak Sengar, chief works manager of Jagadhri Workshop, told that this train will be run by the steam engine present in the Rewari loco shed. The team that came from Rewari has passed all the coaches. There is some logic in the coach which will be done in Delhi only. For this, it has been sent to Delhi. Preparing this train is a matter of pride for Jagadhri Workshop.
Change the vacuum system to apply brakes
The vacuum system works to stop the train from the steam engine, while the electronic engine has air pressure. Workshop officials and employees have been created separately for the control system. It can be controlled with a steam engine. The brake control system has been given two places. If the brakes do not work from one place then it can be controlled from the other place.
