Punjab Elections After the voting of the Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samities held in Punjab on September 19, the results will be declared today (September 22). Counting of votes will start from 10 am and results will be announced by all the zilla parishads and panchayat committees till 4 o’clock.
In order to ensure that there is no default in the counting of votes of panchayat elections, adequate security arrangements have been made by the administrative authorities in place.
Under these elections, 2,354 members of the Zila Parishad and 2,900 members for Panchayat Samiti have been elected. Please state that there are a total of 22 Zilla Parishads and 150 Panchayat Samities in the State.
Before counting the vote, the opposition Akali Dal accused Congress of capturing booths, making false voting and using force. Although the ruling party of the state dismissed these allegations and claimed that the poll was free and fair.
Former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who went to polling booths in his area after voting in Muktsar district, claimed that a large number of Congress workers captured booths in the hands and police remained silent spectator during this period.
